Getting to the ceremony
A taxi may be your best bet to get to the Pia Bouman School of Ballet and Creative Movement. If you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, you can expect this to run you about $15 one way.
If you have the time (and are so inclined), we recommend taking the Queen streetcar. This will give you the chance to ride along one of our favourite streets in Toronto! There are many neat shops, a few beautiful parks and lots of interesting people. Get on the streetcar going west at Queen & Spadina and get off at Dufferin. Walk 30 seconds up a small hill and Noble street is the first one on the right. Fare is $3/person.
Extra fun
The Labour Day long weekend is a great time to be in Toronto. We love going to the Canadian National Exhibition - Eric eats too much sugar and Suzanne freaks out on the Ferris wheel. But seriously, if you get the chance, go! The best time to be there is late afternoon or early evening, so that you're there when the sun goes down.
Of course there is also shopping at the Eaton Centre, neat old stuff at the Royal Ontario Museum, and paintings and such at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
